The Powhatan Education Foundation is made up of a group of dedicated future-thinking individuals who formed the 501(c)(3) charitable Powhatan Education Foundation in 2011 to help ensure Powhatan County Public Schools students can continue to have access to a well-rounded, comprehensive educational experience. The Powhatan Education Foundation’s goals are to enhance the learning experience for Powhatan County Public Schools' students and to support teachers and staff. The Foundation promotes innovative educational opportunities, recognizes outstanding achievements, and maintains and develops community partnerships to help further these goals. The Powhatan Education Foundation generates and raises funds to support excellence in Powhatan County Public Schools so students can:

• Make the most of their education

• Participate in activities that enhance their educational experience

• Be successful in school

• Be prepared for life after high school

The Powhatan Education Foundation’s goals are to enhance the learning experience for Powhatan County Public Schools' students and to support teachers and staff.

The Board of Directors members are selected for their experience and involvement in the Powhatan community and are responsible for decision-making and the development of the Foundation’s policy.
