Grant and Scholarship Information
The Powhatan Education Foundation promotes excellence in education by supporting an atmosphere of innovation, creativity and collaboration in Powhatan County Public Schools.
- Scholarships are awarded annually to seniors at Powhatan High School who exemplify the Foundation’s high standard of excellence through participation in extra-curricular activities, volunteer service and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
- Partnerships with the community help foster the Foundation’s goals of educational excellence. The Foundation will sponsor and volunteer for community events, and will seek opportunities to disseminate information about the Foundation’s goals.
- Mentoring programs will aid in the development of students through future planning and early professional preparation. The Foundation will help students obtain higher education counseling information, providing a forum for students to learn more about careers that interest them.
- Achievement recognition programs will honor the outstanding achievements of students and faculty who set a shining example of the results of hard work, dedication and beating adversity.
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2022. We are pleased to share that 13 of the graduating seniors were awarded scholarships through the Powhatan Education Foundation and the Curtis Family Scholarships. Congratulations to all recipients!
